My Role

UI UX Designer

Responsibility

Research, UI/UX Design

Impact

Increase business opportunities

Hypothesis

A platform provides online registration and personalized route planner for visitors. And appointment reminder and AR namecards for exhibitors could help users to save their time and keep the connection.

Why?

Both stakeholders have limited time and human resources during the exhibition which lead inadequate interactions. They are finding it difficult to keep up the relationship after the event.

Business Opportunities

This app would be the perfect tool for exhibitions stakeholders to sustain a virtuous cycle by creating digital platform.

Research

Conducted 2 user interviews who working as a merchandiser for exhibition and a director of an exhibitor. Also went to 2 field studies to observe the environment and problems.

Insights

Efficiency is the priority as there is limited time during exhibition and venue is too large to locate the targeted booth

Personalized system could be created for enhancing whole experience

Sustainability is essential to keep the connection between exhibitors and visitors and collect data for further analysis

User Journey

Design - Key Moments

Here are the key moments to help users to reach their goals. The key moments of the app could keep the interface open and flexible. And these are the moments I feel would be important based on my research. Further research and testing would likely uncover more user cases.

Home Screen

At a glance, learn what promotions and popular products in the exhibition. Allowing visitors to update for latest market information and receive related events that the visitors may interested

Appointment

Visitor and exhibitor could make and confirm appointment details and receive alert to attend meeting on time.

Route Planning

Visitors could select targeted booths before the exhibition and recommended companies by re-targeting. After arrived to the venue, the app will show the path walking towards the booth.

Invitation

Companies could choose their potential customers for further events. In order to keep the connection and linkage between exhibitors and visitors and maintain a virtuous cycle between events.

Outcome

Outcome

Designed & prototyped screens illustrating the concept of a mobile app paired with a iBeacon.

Values

Creating more business opportunities by identifying potential buyers for exhibitors and boosting efficiency by personalized route planner for visitors.
